This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We wrote it in plain English because you should be able to understand it without a lawyer.
This policy covers Apex Roofing Systems LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company doing business as Recoup ("we," "us," "Recoup").
The short version: we collect what we need to build and run your service, we don't sell your information to anyone, and you can ask us to delete it whenever you want.
When you become a client, you give us:
When you pay us:
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe handles it directly. We only see the last four digits, the card brand, and whether the payment worked.
When you visit our website:
Through the services we run for you:
When we build your website and run your review, texting, and call systems, information about *your* customers flows through those tools — names, phone numbers, email addresses, and messages they send you.
This is worth its own section.
When someone fills out a form on your website, leaves you a review, or texts your business, that information is yours. We're just the ones running the system it flows through. We handle it on your behalf and under your direction.
That means:
You're responsible for having the right permissions from your own customers — especially for texting and calling. We cover that in our Terms of Service.
We use what we collect to:
We do not sell your personal information. We never have and we don't plan to.
We share information only with the companies that help us run the service, and only what they need to do their job:
| Who | What they do |
|---|---|
| Stripe | Processes payments and handles card data |
| HighLevel | Hosts your website and runs your CRM, texting, and automations |
| Business Profile management, analytics, and advertising | |
| Meta | Advertising, on plans that include it |
| Phone and messaging carriers | Deliver your calls and texts |
| Email and support tools | Let us communicate with you |
Each of these companies has its own privacy practices, and they're bound to protect the information we send them.
We may also share information if the law requires it — a subpoena, a court order, a legal investigation — or if we ever sell or merge the business, in which case your information transfers with it and this policy still applies.
Our website uses cookies to keep the site working properly and to understand how people find and use it. You can turn cookies off in your browser settings, though parts of the site may stop working correctly if you do.
We may use analytics and advertising tools that set their own cookies to measure how our marketing performs.
We keep your account and business information for as long as you're a client, and for a reasonable period afterward — generally three years — so we can handle taxes, accounting, and any legal questions that come up.
If you cancel and ask us to delete your data, we'll delete what we're not legally required to keep, and we'll confirm when it's done.
We use industry-standard protections: encrypted connections, access controls, and reputable vendors who do the same. Only the people who need access to your information have it.
That said, no system is perfectly secure, and we can't promise information sent over the internet is completely safe. If we ever have a breach that affects you, we'll tell you promptly.
You can, at any time:
Email [email protected] and we'll take care of it. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act. We honor those requests from anyone who asks, regardless of what state they're in. We don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there's nothing to opt out of on that front.
Our services are built for businesses, not for kids. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think we have, email us and we'll delete it.
Our site and your site may link to other companies' sites — Google, review platforms, social media. We're not responsible for how they handle your information. Read their policies.
We may update this policy as our services change. If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date at the top and email you if it affects you significantly. Continuing to use our services after that means you accept the updated version.
Questions about your privacy, or want to make a request? Email [email protected]. A real person reads it.
